Holiday TOMS

So you guys remember my reluctant conversion to TOMS, right?

After some intense back and forth debate (in my head) I gave in and purchased two pairs. For the holidays. I think I'm probably crazy, because my feet are not nearly dainty enough to look adorable in these. I could have purchased a nice pair of flats for what it cost me to buy these two pairs and I would probably look much more pulled together.

But Moroccan geometric designs in silver and herringbone in glittery GOLD? I really didn't stand a chance. They have arrived. I love them.

  1. I love my TOMS. I have the silver glitters and I have literally worn them to pieces!

And it's for a good cause :) How can you go wrong?

  6. I love their look, but i've been concerned about how much protection they provide your feet--do the provide sufficient support, so you don't feel like you're grinding your heels into pavement?

  8. I have the original Moroccan ones (white & navy), and they are sooo easy to throw on and go. Not to mention WAY more comfortable than most of the shoes I buy. I think I need sparkly TOMS now... gold or silver? Hmm. xoxo.

p.s. @Emily - I find them to have sufficient support. They have a squishy insole.

  9. You also bought 2 pairs of shoes for kids who need them, so really, you bought 4 pairs of shoes for what you paid. ;)

I love mine, and I really want the burlap ones, but now you've got me wanting a glittery pair, too!

  13. so fun. the metallics are still neutral enough to wear daily, but add a dose of glamor to casual outfits.

  14. @ emily - I would agree with nicole and say that they have sufficient support. If I were a waitress or a nurse, on my feet absolutely all day, they probably wouldn't suffice. But they work for me, and I'm up and down all day long.

  16. TOMS are the most comfortable shoes ever. The gold ones are festive and glam.

  17. I don't own any TOMS...yet. One of my bride clients got gold, glittery TOMS for all her bridesmaids as a their gift. They were a huge hit. Enjoy!

  18. I love my TOMS. They're blue corduroy, faded and falling apart from almost daily use for over a year. I wear them to one of my jobs, where I'm on my feet for hours on end, and they are just cushiony enough to keep my feet from aching.

  19. those are so cute and festive, but i can just tell they would be soooo unflattering on my short, large-calfed legs. haha!

  20. The gold ones are my fave. They had a navy glitter pair a few years back that I STILL regret never buying, so it's good you bought them while they're available!

  21. I think this is a really interesting phenomenon - why the popularity for shoes/boots that do nothing for anyone when the "originals" are just as comfortable?!! Quite a mystery. Personally, I still think the classic (and cheap as chips) Mediterranean espadrilles in all colours are perfect summer wear, flat or with a slight heel, with or without ties. And I still prefer the classic Swedish-style clog to any croc anyone can offer, they give me the creeps. And what about Uggs - nobody can seem to walk straight in them and they look terrible on anybody, however beautiful, so give me a simply constructed classic boot that is waterproof and useful anyday (a Camargue boot, for instance).... I still think these are all really strange fashions!!!! ;O

  22. I didn't need to know about these. Actually, I did. But my bank account did not.
