{christmas wreath 2010}
I'm publicly admitting that I've been thinking of my Christmas wreath (and working on it on and off) for several weeks now. You guys, I can't help it. I have no resistance when it comes to the holidays. I was going to try to avoid talking about it, but then I realized that will give the impression that I can do two months work in two weeks time, which is kind of unfair to everyone. So, I'll start sharing in bits and pieces, hopefully without overwhelming you with all the holiday talk.
Can't wait to see what you come up with!
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures! I like how Happy Hour is mixed into there :)
ReplyDeleteHa! I've started my christmas wreath too, though i think it might be less complicated than yours :) happy monday!
ReplyDeleteif i can get down to purl soho over my lunch break today, wreath 2010 is a go up here as well.
ReplyDeleteyour talking about christmas makes it ok for me to confess that i'm in holiday mode, too. have been for a few weeks but have been trying to stifle it. i can't help it...the holidays just go so, so fast now. it baffles me that when i was 10, the span from thanksgiving to christmas took an eternity. all of that said...now that you've admitted it publicly, too...i feel just fine with my pre-thanksgiving christmas to-do lists ;o)
ReplyDeleteOhhh... what type is that white, semi-translucent ribbon in the second picture? It's pretty much exactly what I am looking for to finish off my wedding invitations!
ReplyDeleteyour weekend looks amazing! so full on inspiration and color. xo
ReplyDeletewhen it comes to holiday talk, I say bring it on! so excited! can't wait to see what types of crafts you're experimenting with.
ReplyDeleteHoliday confessions from home: I rewashed the perfectly clean linen napkins this weekend and carefully ironed them flat (all one dozen.) They are white and uncreased and ready for some fancy folding for Thanksgiving. All that remains is to decide how they will be folded...after I find the napkin folding booklet. You don't happen to remember where I put it, do you? It's going to be a fine holiday season:)
ReplyDeleteLove you bunches,
Mom
I feel the exact same way about this time of year. it makes me giddy with all the crafty and culinary possibilities..but it's the lack of time that gets me. it's fun to dream though!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Anna
i think holiday talk is fine, that's not the stuff that becomes overwhelming. instead, i find it exciting and can't wait to hear about what you've been up to!
ReplyDeleteso fun. i can't resist the holiday fever either. we made baby hand-printed ornaments this weekend. can't wait to see your finished wreath.
ReplyDeleteMmm, kale and beer. As for the wreath, would you be willing to share a little tutorial for us craft-challenged girls?
ReplyDeleteI look forward to the sharing! I have been thinking about Christmas since the beginning of September.
ReplyDeleteLOL I'm right there with you! Us realists understand you kinda have to start planning ahead. :) Plus I've been doing bits of Christmas shopping on each paycheck since October to spread out the pain. But I'm a natural born planner, so I can't help myself either!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos. Looking forward to seeing the wreth

I love your planner! Lovely weekend :)
ReplyDelete@ everyone - Yay for holiday mode!
ReplyDelete@ sacha - The ribbon is hand dyed bias cut silk in bridal ivory. It's 1" wide, although you can get it in other widths. It's pricey, but looks and feels like nothing else. Various places sell it online, but my usual supplier stopped carrying it, so I don't have any specific recommendations.
haha You are awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I need to start thinking about crafts now too, so I'm not rushing at the end. Your weekend looks lovely and creative. Happy Monday Rachel!
ReplyDeleteYay for the holidays! Can't wait to see what you come up with, the wreath looks great already
ReplyDeleteYour weekend just sounds like my dream weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh how fun! I can't wait to see the finished piece. I am thinking about making a felt wreath too! For my wedding next year.
ReplyDeleteI love this time of year as well, and find myself making lists upon lists upon lists!
I love the lighting and photography, the pictures look dream-like--what kind of camera did you use to take these? I'm browsing for a new one and I adore the settings of yours!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Giovanna! Could you give us a tutorial when you have finished? :)
