The weekend, briefly

This weekend was a bit packed. I went on a silk hunting expedition in the fashion district, played with pretty paper scraps, baked, cooked and ate. I managed to sneak in a quick nap on Sunday afternoon, just to get ready for the week.

  1. Can I kindly inqure as to how you get your pies out of their pie baking container--be it a pie pan or glass pie dish--and into a cake tray. Seems awfully hard to me.

  3. your pie looks so good!
Many moons ago (in what seems another life) a friend and I became lost in the fashion district...as in, we forgot where we parked. No clue as to where our car was and could not even tell a police officer (who came to our rescue) what the rental car looked like. He drove us around, kept shaking his head and sighing.
    We eventually found it.
Hope your day was easier :)

  16. I love the tags! How do you make them? Do you have some fancy tool that I don't know about??? And do you use cardstock??? I totally want to make some!

  17. The pie looks so delicious! I would also love to know how you got the pie out of the dish and onto a cake plate?! Any pie I might try to transfer would immediately smoosh all over the floor. :(

  18. oh my goodness, that pie looks incredible!! I love apple pie, it is probably my favorite thing about thanksgiving, haha. I've never actually made one myself though so maybe I should give it a try!

those tags are also super cute. makes me want to make gift tags, even though I really don't have much reason to. I just love all the colors.
