The Avett Brothers, I and Love and You. On repeat. For the last four days straight. If D decides to break up with me after having to listen to this album one. more. time. well, I have to admit that it would be justifiable.
The album is all over the place - bluegrass and folksy stuff and other songs that sound totally modern. Luckily I love all of it.
This is the song that got me...
They are everywhere, right now :) I'm so glad!

ReplyDeleteI live in NC and was really hoping that they would stay a local secret... but I'm SO happy for them to be getting as much attention as they are. They really deserve it. SO talented and SO cute! = ) I do like this album, but their older albums have a LOT more banjo which just makes my heart sing. Definitely check them out too!

ReplyDeleteThey are playing in Santa Barbara in April...and we already have tickets...and we bought them in August. We are hooked, to say the least!
ReplyDeleteThis album is too overproduced. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the Avett Brothers, but this new album is definitely not as good as their earlier work.
ReplyDeleteI agree that this album is outstanding. They have really raised their game since The GLeam II album.
