Mini callas, in a beautiful black pitcher D made years ago.
Calla lilies are very serene and stately, which means I find them either utterly boring or perfectly peaceful, depending on how I feel. This week, I appreciated the serenity and I'm hoping they'll set the tone for my weekend.
Oh, my! I always look forward to your 'Friday Flowers' as they help me remember to appreciate the fleeting beauty in my days. Today's flowers are are so very beautiful they took my breath away. Serene, yes. Now I will have a second cup of tea and stare a little longer at your pink callas. Hope you have a lovely, restful weekend.

ReplyDeleteRachel, I've been admiring your blog for quite some time and although there have been countless posts that have touched or inspired me today's little vignette was just so sweet, contemplative, and lovely I had to say hello.
ReplyDeleteSo, hello! I love your world over here at Heart of Light!
If you have any time this weekend for trolling and are interesting inabandoned homesteads in the desert, terms of venery, painting, papercutting, or masala-plum galettes, do stop by! I'd be so honored;)
Have a wonderful mini-calla kind of weekend,
xo lily (alas, neither mini nor calla)
beautiful - I find lilies usually leave me bored too but this is really lovely. I think the contrast of pottery and almost oriental lines made it different and appealing.
