A simple little arrangement.
I think the cropping of photos is so interesting - I don't crop post-photo for some reason, but I almost always take a range of distance shots and then pick and choose. It can totally change the feeling.

I used to try to tidy up for my flower shots, but I don't anymore, for the most part.
Love this. I think the first one is my favourite, from a photography perspective. But the bottom one satisfies my nosey-parker streak!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your Friday flower posts :)
ReplyDeleteso pretty! and your "untidied" space is as pretty (or prettier) than most people's styled spaces...just sayin ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love the pieces you have hanging on the wall! If only I could figure out what they are...haha. Old pots?
ReplyDeletei'm such a sucker for close-ups. i think there is probably something this says about my personality, but i'll leave the analysis to the experts. in the meantime, i think i'll try to remember to zoom it out a bit this weekend.
ReplyDeletethat's precisely what i love about your photos - so honest, real, and naturally beautiful. your home must be amazing.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures lady! I can't believe how they all have a totally different feel! x
ReplyDeleteThose pieces on the wall are indeed pots! They're my vintage Dansk pieces and I love them so much that we keep them displayed whenever we aren't actually baking in them. You can see them here and here. As well as in almost all of my holiday posts, because I use them for most holidays and large gatherings.
ReplyDelete@ erin - I lean towards the close ups as well. They're easier to control, and I like the bit of mystery. So I have to sort of force myself to go outward a bit when I'm shooting.
i lean towards closeups so i can get all the glorious details
ReplyDeleteLove your arrangement and the way you played with this photo. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGosh, what is there to tidy up?!? haha. I love the ampersand.
ReplyDeletethe red and blue dots, are they bells? or plates or something? they're really neat!
ReplyDeletei love that you don't tidy up! I tend to take my best pics in chaos sometimes...altho your pics do not show any chaos. Dayle
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you don't - leave the perfectly styled living rooms to the magazines. We are keeping it REAL here in blogland! ;) Happy Friday and good luck with the wedding planning. I hear that once you have the location down, it gets much easier to decide the theme/colors/etc.
ReplyDeleteCute arrangement! I also love the bowl beside it.
ReplyDeleteSince you apparently love photography, I hope you've chosen an amazing photographer for your wedding. I know I'm somewhat biased, but the photographer is probably the most important vendor. A good photographer with experience should also be able to help with other vendors and details for your wedding. You might get some great ideas.
