Bright yellow china mums, to combat the generally dreary weather we've had for a few weeks.
{china mums}
Oh yes, that's our Christmas tree in the background. We initially planned to have it down by New Year's day, but now we're aiming for sometime before Valentine's.
Yes - some colour is essential right now. I've been fantasizing about meyer lemon trees all week. I think my mind is just craving those colours (or maybe I'm vitamin C deficient... or maybe I just want a cocktail all the time!)
There are pots and pots of them everywhere here in Calcutta! Yellow flowers are certainly the best remedy for post-holiday humdrum blues. Yellow flowers and Tim Riggins in Friday Night Lights.
And your tree? You totally get a free pass until V day for sure.
Don't worry about not having the tree down yet. I assume anyone who celebrates Christmas is Christian and yesterday was the feast of the Epiphany...meaning Christmas is technically over today.
That little pop of yellow is just what I needed. It's snowing like crazytown in NYC right now. I hope you are well. I haven't been around here in awhile. Going to catch up!
beautiful flowers as usual...alas, our tree is still up too. every night we look at eachother and say, "tomorrow." but really, tomorrow it's going to happen ;)
This is my first time visiting your blog and after your first post I love you already! Can I just say how much I admire the honesty in these pictures in the things I see in the background. I like to see that you're human, it makes it easier to relate. Love the flowers too, I might have to start a friday flowers tradition! Cheers from your newest fan!
Trying captchas this time - better or worse than having to log in to comment? Let me know! Sorry for all the hoops but the spam has been terrible lately!
