ReplyDeleteI.Love.That.Ring.
ReplyDeletehmmm...i have that exact ring (filigree detail and all). it's not vintage though, i bought it from target a few months ago.
ReplyDeleteI love finding things that are beautiful and have history like that! Love that ring!
ReplyDelete@ anon - how funny! I don't mind if the ring is actual vintage or just second hand Target. I love it. If it is the Target one you have, I'm super impressed by the weight and feel of it. I always expect Target jewelry to feel cheaper and lightweight, but the ring is great.
ReplyDeleteha! your description of the ring is great. love the filigree.
ReplyDeleteHey! Blue Heaven Love it :)
ReplyDeleteWow beautiful ring :) Great find! I have been thrifting myself lately and I was wondering what is your take on all that Karma thing, that a item has other persons karma on it?!
ReplyDelete@ Bridget - thank you! I had seen some of this line before but couldn't remember what it was called! Now I'm having fun looking up all the listings.
ReplyDelete@ Katriin - I have to admit that I'm not a big karma person so I haven't given any thought to this. I like to imagine that the vintage objects I buy were treasured by their previous owners, but I don't think that material objects retain any bad karma. I do sometimes see myself as rescuing the objects from the thrift store, which means I clearly have a much bigger issue with anthropomorphizing!
Love, love, love that dish. The detailing looks a bit Jetson-esque:)
ReplyDeleteI have a baking dish with this same pattern!!
ReplyDeleteIt belonged to my Mother, and she made my favorite rice pudding in it!!
That ring is quite the find!
What fun finds!
ReplyDeleteABSOLUTE THRIFTING RADNESS ON THE LEVEL WE HAVE COME TO EXPECT FROM YOU.

Youre so right. I like the whole recycling-reuse thought and love the quote: one persons trash is another ones treasure :)
