The freakishly nice weather continues on here. 70 and sunny all weekend, so I threw the windows and doors open and enjoyed it.
A few different sewing projects. One for the home ...
And some for other people ...
A trip to the fabric store yielded some fun silk twill. I don't know what I'll do with it yet, but it was on an amazing sale ($5 a yard instead of $20!) and it drapes like you wouldn't believe.
I spent some time admiring my favorite tea cups.
And eagerly tracked the progress of my little mandarin-quat tree. I can hardly wait for them to ripen.
Rachel,
ReplyDeleteI was given a sewing machine for Christmas (yeah!). Could you give me a list of other supplies you use for sewing projects?
I love to read your blog!
Thanks,
Lindsey

ReplyDeleteGah! That fabric is BEAUTIFUL. What fabric store do you go to?? I'm in SoCal too and all I know about is JoAnns and M&L. JoAnns wouldn't have anything that sassy, and M&Ls is such an undertaking to go through their 80 million bolts!
ReplyDeleteI am horribly envious of that silk twill you found! An incredible print, great textile and only $5/yard. Hold me back!
ReplyDeletei love the teacup photo

Love your new fabrics! Oh, your weekends are always inspiring and beautiful. And your weeks too!
ReplyDeleteSoCal folks, I get my best fabric (all my silks) from F&S, which is in Los Angeles.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the mandarin-quats - I have no idea what they taste like! I bought the tree late last year, so this will be my first harvest. I'm so eager to find out. They are a hybrid of a kumquat and a mandarin.
Your lovely little tea cups look like they'd go with my china quite nicely. :) Always such a fun and inspiring experience here.
ReplyDeleteI love that fabric, what an awesome find.
ReplyDeleteum. where in LA did you find that silk twill on sale? must...go..now.....
