Sometimes I forget how amazingly lucky we are. I'll never get enough of this state. We drove up the 101 for a wedding in Los Osos (lovely, way too much fun) and explored Morro Bay as well.

ReplyDeletestunningly gorgeous! you really are so lucky - i dream of living in san fran one day.
ReplyDeleteI was in a wedding in Los Osos last year; central coast is my favorite!
ReplyDeletegreat pics & way to be grateful! -- life is beautiful isn't it?! ><>
ReplyDeletebeautiful shots.
ReplyDeleteSO, so beautiful - this puts me in the mood for a roadtrip (and, um, relocation to CA).
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I'm itching for a day trip right now too. It's always such a good reminder of what's beyond your little piece of the city!!
ReplyDeletethis might be one of my favorite posts yet...for some reason, i think that shell picture needs to be blown up and framed in your place stat.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful shots. I love the one of The Shell Shop.
ReplyDeleteExcels in shells!
ReplyDeleteawwww hope you had fun!! this is my home town (SLO is actually), and it most def. is such a lovely place :-)
ReplyDeletedid the shop, in fact, excel in shells?* also, did you bring home any succulents? also also, i'm pretty sure i need to get some of those globe lights. i've been wavering for months, and the fog photo seals the deal. well documented, intrepid R!
ReplyDelete*that shop would be right at home on the upper east side, land of curry in a hurry and the wasabi lobby.
Succulents! And a pink barn!
ReplyDeleteI really need to take a road trip through California. We went to Monterey a couple years ago and drove down to Big Sur. It was gorgeous.
Glad you had a good weekend!
The color of the marigold field is unbelievable! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou guys, the shell shop really did excel in shells. It wasn't just shells (although there were piles) but they seemed to specialize in things made out of shells. If we'd been in the market for a really enormous chandelier made entirely of shells, we'd have been in luck.
ReplyDelete@ lauren - we're in the succulent market, so to speak, but we didn't purchase any this weekend. We want to make an arrangement, but we're currently torn on choice of pot, size, placement and space issues. So we just do some succulent stalking every time we're at a nursery. Also, I think I would enjoy eating at wasabi lobby.
Road trips are the absolute best. It's so fun to stumble across whimsical details that are native to a certain place, and it sounds like you did in spades. Reading posts like this make Mondays infinitely more bearable!
ReplyDeletewow...looks like a stunning weekend. + "excels in shells" love that ;-)
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful weekend !
