I was a busy bee on Saturday and ready to drop by the time the last mail pick up rolled around.
We decided against going out for Halloween and instead stayed in with friends and pretended to be in college again.
Sunday afternoon D and I indulged in one of our favorite activities - house stalking. It's pretty much what it sounds like, and it involves walking or driving around neighborhoods for some imaginary house shopping. It looks remarkably similar to burglar reconnaissance, so I tried to keep the photo taking to a minimum, to avoid completely freaking out various homeowners.
my husband and i go house stalking all the time. it's our favorite.
ReplyDeletei love house stalking... one of my favorite weekend pastimes. xo, kaileenelise
ReplyDeleteI am such a house stalker it's not even funny. Glad to know someone else gets worried about taking pictures, too!
ReplyDeletei also love house stalking!! what better way to check out the neighborhoods, gather ideas and inspiration!
ReplyDeleteGosh! I love house stalking! I do it all the time in my neighborhood that has some of the most beautiful houses I have ever seen!
ReplyDeletemmmmmmmmmmm, house stalking. fun times
ReplyDeleteand remembering the times in college - equally as fun
pretending i'm still in college is one of my all-time favorite activities. at least you upgraded to bud instead of natty ice.
ReplyDeleteOh man, I don't know caps! Is it like quarters? We played some awesome flip cup at my book group last month. It was pretty hilarious.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of 'caps' either. Is it a game? An evening with friends like in college sounds like a lot of fun. And house stalking is just great. We aren't looking for another house, but still love to look around :-)
ReplyDeleteDid you see your rosebud pins on Cup of Jo last week?? How exciting! :)
ReplyDeleteI love to house-stalk...especially at dusk so I can look inside!!!
ReplyDeleteHouse stalking is a lot of fun. I'm also one of those people who finds it fascinating to look in the windows when riding by homes at night..wait, that sounds kind of creepy but it's not.
ReplyDeleteperhaps house-stalking would be less threatening if you wore deerstalker hats while you did it? (full disclosure: i just want you guys to wear deerstalker hats as a general proposition.)
ReplyDeleteI'm a house stalker, too! I usually just drive by now (with my boyfriend driving) and try to take really quick pictures so it doesn't look as suspicious. It scares the crap out of me, though, but I haven't been turned in yet!
ReplyDeleteYay, I love pretending to be in college again. It's practically my job.
ReplyDeletethat's too funny, house stalking! my boyfriend and I have been guilty of doing the same activity too on the random Sunday afternoon.
ReplyDeletewhat a fun way to spend halloween. : )
ReplyDeletehe he...i housestalk as well. now my ten year old daughter mentioned that she likes to do it too, so now it's a family sport.
ReplyDeleteI guess everyone of us is a house stalker. Glad to know your Halloween is a good one.
ReplyDeleteYou were a busy little bee! If feels incredible, though, I'm sure :)
