Spring is coming, even if it doesn't quite feel like it yet.
I picked up these iris and tulips last week, but they've held up surprisingly well.
But then this week I noticed that the ranunculus are in! I almost tossed these guys and replaced them, but I managed to restrain myself. I just seem to gravitate towards ranunculus. Proof here, here, here (scroll down to the second picture), here, here and here (albeit in mixed bouquet in this last one).

These are so pretty and springy! I had never heard of a ranunculus until now. I agree...they are much prettier. I understand your obesession.
ReplyDeleteWhen i was younger my favorite flower was the iris. I love the way the petals branch out. Then when I first came to OKC tulips were my favorite. They are everywhere here in spring. Right now I have a big crush on hydrangea. I clearly enjoy flowers as much as you do! Fresh ones just brighten up the room so much.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous flowers. Ranunculus are really hard to resist!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful weekend, Rachel!

maybe instead of "throwing" these ones out you could add another bouquet of ranunculus...just a thought. who says one can't enjoy flowers in every nook and cranny!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures. I'm a sucker for any picture with a tea kettle or flowers in it and this has both =) Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteI wait ALL year for the short rannunculi window, and was thrilled to find loads of them at Trader Joe's this week! As I type this my lovely little bouquet of fuchsia blooms is smiling in my favorite vase a.k.a. sugar bowl. Here's a bouquet from a couple of years ago in another favorite colorway:
