Send me good kitchen juju, my dears. It's that time of year again and I will be making the famous fudge frosting tonight. It's a teeny bit humid, which has me nervous. I'll report back next week.
are you making it at mom's, or in l.a.? maybe you could teach me this year... i've eaten that cake every august of my life and yet i've never made it. i think i was too young when bubba taught you, and probably not very motivated. i'd like to know, though... if for no other reason than i could then help you. it's a tough cake; i suppose that's why we only have it once a year. i love you, rachel! i'm excited about seeing you this weekend!
I love that you bought yogurt in a ceramic container, and that you're reusing it for something great! I'm a potter, so I always love to see pottery pretty much anywhere :-) Good luck with your frosting.
Trying captchas this time - better or worse than having to log in to comment? Let me know! Sorry for all the hoops but the spam has been terrible lately!
I adore calla lilies, they are so delicately beautiful, I love these with the pink tinge to them!
