i was just talking with a friend about the film version of TTW! we debating the merits of casting rachel mcadams and eric bana as clare and henry, and i was trying to decide if i wanted to reread the book or be surprised at the parts i'd forgotten. verdict: good excuse to re-read (and the jury is still out on eric bana).
the flower mart is absolutely filled with lilacs right now. they are pricey, but they come in the hugest bunches. love mangoes, but the way they are cut up reminds me of squid at a sushi restaurant, which grosses me out a little.
i love the weekend. why is it not the weekend on monday too?
And you are so right about Sunset! i feel better knowing that there are other people my age who are just as excited about their new direction as I am. We need to meet. We have too many common interests and live too close to go on being strictly internet friends...
Lovely mangoes! SO glad to see you know how to cut them! My family is from Guatemala, so I grew up eating them & that is exactly how we cut & eat them!
Again, great minds think alike. I got some mangos from Trader Joe's this weekend but I have never gotten them fresh before. Is there any way to know when they are ripe? I think mine still need some time, but I'm not sure how to tell.
Sounds like you had a lovely weekend-I love that first photo! Remember how I used your rice pudding recipe to have with mango? I'm craving that again like crazy-I've gotta go out and get the ingredients to make more! Hope you've had a wonderful Monday :)
Your images are PURE COMFORT! I would like to camp on that white table cloth of yours as I wait for daily beauty to be plopped in front of me. Or squeeze me between sticky cubes of mango and I'll feast there! YUM.
Lilacs are so lovely and the smell is gorgeous. Your mango looks delicious, so tasty and your fabrics look like they are going to keep you busy for a while! Such a lovely weekend you look as though you've had Rachel. :)
Trying captchas this time - better or worse than having to log in to comment? Let me know! Sorry for all the hoops but the spam has been terrible lately!
I just love your photos.
