This week flew by with no time for flowers (or much of anything else, to be perfectly honest - I still can't believe it's Friday).
Do you ever have those weeks where you have 87 ideas for projects floating around in your head and you only actually have time for, say, 4 of them, and that's only if you knock showering and changing clothes off the list? Well, I've been like that the last two weeks (except I have made time for showering - don't worry).*
Will you accept a little something else instead of the usual flora?
I'm madly in love with licorice allsorts and they are a great comfort in trying times. I'm lucky I don't live in a country where they are readily available, or I would have a serious problem.
*To my sweet, patient, pay it forward people - I have not forgotten about you and I've been playing around with ideas for your gifts. I think the problem is too many ideas rather than too few. Rest assured that something will arrive for you shortly.
Usually, I have 87 ideas for projects and time for NONE of them. Very sad state of affairs. Even so, I still manage to find time to collect books with cool new projects for me to dream about starting (much less finishing). I need to quit my job...
ReplyDeletei'll take licorice over flowers any day. i completely understand and agree that they cure pretty much about anything.
ReplyDeleteyeah my life feels like i have a zillion projects and ideas of fun dates and weekend trips etc and i can never keep track of them all and end up doing nada
ReplyDeleteAccepted! Licorice is delightful, if only to look at and photograph {though I'd also happily eat it}.
ReplyDeleteI think over-inspiration is a very good problem to have. :) I don't like licorice, but I love the way these look, especially when photographed by your talented self.
ReplyDeleteThe blue candy covered ones are so pretty! Allsorts are like little bites of art :)
ReplyDeleteI always pick out the beady ones. They're my favourite!
ReplyDeleteI love these brightly colored licorice! Looks good and pretty.

man, i'll accept anything that involves black licorice. which probably isn't especially safe, but hey.
ReplyDeleteI understand having a million things going at once and just trying to finish something, anything. No pressure on the P.I.F. I'm waiting patiently (and trying to get together my giveaway part of the bargain!).
ReplyDeleteI am the same way - always a million ideas floating around in my head! Oh yes, and I LOVE licorice allsorts! yummm!
ReplyDeletelove the colors in that shot
ReplyDeleteHa! I know exactly what you mean - most weeks are like that for me! Not sure about licorice - I don't mind when mixed with something like above but on its own. Probably just as well I'm not too keen especially as you can buy this easily in the UK!
ReplyDeleteI quite like when this problem arises, as it seems to find me on a daily basis, too many ideas, and books and thinks to see and love.

Oh! I am in exactly the same boat, overloaded with creativity and not nearly enough time to see it through. It's a good predicament, though.
ReplyDeleteThe licorice photo is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteOhhh... these are a real fave of mine! And they are readily available at the local grocery! Why is it, when you see an image like this, it starts a craving??? Shall I send you a few boxes? I would love to!
ReplyDeleteYumm licorice...if you love black licorice, you've got to try it with salt on it...I think it's from Sweden...I found some at World Market once, AMAZING : ) Happy Friday Rachel!
ReplyDeleteI love licorice allsorts too! I am off to the UK in a few weeks were I plan to eat oodles of them! Love the photo!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I had one of those weeks here too.
ReplyDeleteYou've made me want to eat allsorts now.
This is a beautiful photo. I love it when someone can take something rather ordinary and turn it into something lovely, as you have done with these candies and your photo of them.
