Bits of loveliness

Sweet surprises this week...

Finding a lovely package in my mailbox from the oh so sweet Anne of The City Sage. These adorable liners will be used to bake something delicious. There were also some yummy Japanese treats, but I have to admit most of them didn't last long enough to have their photo taken.

sweet little liners

These were almost like Pocky, but the sticks have random little phrases on them and the chocolate was in a separate container for dipping. D loves squirrels, so we both cracked up when we found this. Equally awesome ones - "star + fish = starfish" and " frog - amphibian."

Coming home to a beautiful bunch of yellow tulips and a clean apartment (D is on spring break this week, so I get spoiled).

Thanks for all your hair advice yesterday! I think I'm going to schedule a cut for next week, and I'll make sure to share.

Have a wonderful weekend, my dears!

  9. Aw, those tulips are charming.

By the way, I went three weeks without buying anything. It was a strong effort on my part, but I definitely give you credit for going all the way! I would love to interview you on my blog about your shop-less months if you are interested :).

    Have a great weekend!

  10. btw...when i said "lose the hairdryer" i should have expanded: i love the non-blown, wispy, maybe a little hippy-ish, with some john masters organic sea salt spray... {my northern cal roots are showing}...that's what *meant* to say...

anyway, can't wait to see the new 'do...i'm sure it will be super-cute, sassy and bang-tastic!

    happy weekend.

  11. Those are so cute, love the sticks. I absolutely love your blog!
I think you should get a medium cut, not too short, not too long. Try starting out with just a few whispy bangs. If you like them, go for more! Try a few light layers, kind of shag, but not too shaggy. The light layers might make it a little thicker.

  23. What a great gift to arrive in the post, I love those cup cake liners, and yellow tulips are so gorgeous, I have some in my hall at the moment. I am very lucky because my aunt and uncle have a tulip farm but don't get the all that often because they live a few hours away. Every now and again I get left a bunch which is always lovely.
