Only available during the summer (and only on Thursdays and Saturdays, I believe, but call before you go if you're likely to be disappointed) at Vanilla Bakeshop.
They have mango buttercream and mango filling. You know how I feel about mangoes, right?
Words fail me.

I am with you on the mango addiction. But I'm always leery of getting mango-flavoured things here because there's inevitably peach or some other fruit mixed in; or the flavour is so faint that it shouldn't even be called mango.
ReplyDeleteYour cupcake looks delicious, though. I wonder if I could come up with a good mango cupcake...
Oh wow.
ReplyDeleteSo envious right now
ReplyDeleteHaha that sounds good. It's the little things that make life so wonderful =)

ReplyDeleteOh goodness. I am on such a mango kick that it is unbelievable. I need these ASAP! Too bad I'm on the wrong coast!
ReplyDelete@ Kristy - as a fellow mango lover, I get it. Luckily, these taste like mango through and through and yet they aren't overwhelming. I'm actually kind of in awe. I have no idea how they do it. The filling is clearly a mango puree that's been thickened. It's plenty tart as well as sweet. The buttercream is definitely mango-y, but a bit more subtle. It's really, really good. I think the cupcake is just vanilla, but I'm not totally sure. They might have flavored it as well and I just can't tell because the filling is so good.
ReplyDeleteWow - looks amazing!!
ReplyDeleteNO! how can this be possible!? I need to try one. now.
ReplyDeleteYUM! :) Hoooooow yummy. Might have to try and recreate these cute tiny cupcakes!!!!!

I never knew there was such a cupcake. Thank you for enlightening me! Also, mangoes have been one of my main sources of nutrition lately...specifically the frozen mangoes from Trader Joe's. They're so refreshing!
ReplyDeleteYummie! Need some sugar after seeing these photos. This happens a lot after reading your blog so you know.
