Inspiration...I wake up daily so blessed to be alive. The sky is still there. I can breathe. My dog adores me. Color. Scent. Sound. Touch.The list is endless.
ReplyDeleteMy inspirations change every day. Today, it was a perfect stranger. I'm a salesgirl at a popular bath and body store. This afternoon, a tall, elderly gentleman moseyed on in. My co-worker greeted him with a typical "hi, how are you?". Most customers brush us off when we ask how they are, thinking that it's some sort of sales pitch (it's not... the official sales pitch begins with "what can I find for you today?" Now you know!). But this gentleman... he was AMAZING! He very sincerely said, "I'm GREAT thanks! How are YOU?" He wore a bright blue and yellow jacket and the biggest smile you've EVER seen. Even though he moved slowly and looked sort of frail, he positively radiated happiness. It soon became clear that he had come in to join his wife, and he seemed so blissed out just to be waiting on her while she debated the relative merits of mango vs. strawberry soap. He was a man with true love and joy in his life, and his mere presence at the shop brightened up my day. So today, he is my inspiration. I want to ooze that much joy when I'm in my 80s, too! (beycah@gmail.com)
ReplyDeleteNow, my inspiration today was reading that last comment, really put a smile on my face.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great give away and a wonderful idea.

ReplyDeleteWonderful necklace. Wonderful cause. I'm a special education teacher, so it should go without saying that my students inspire me each and every day.
ReplyDeleteI met the most gracious woman on a plane about ten years ago. She treated everyone with such love and kindness. I think about her every morning and want to be the same way!
ReplyDeleteWhat inspires me on a daily basis? I'm going to be a little obscure and say...the sky. The only thing nicer than waking up to a brilliant, sunny day is waking up to a rainy, overcast day when you can stay in bed a little longer and read!
ReplyDeleteAt night, seeing the stars from the comfort of my bed is a nice way to end the day, but living so close to the centre of Sydney, the sky is usually an amazing combination of pink and purple. City lights have their benefits!
My Fiance inspires me daily with his persisence and optimism, I wish I had as much...
ReplyDeletetwinkle...twinkle...little star.
ReplyDeletelove this.

After looking at all of these necklaces and the causes they support, I thought I had picked a favorite until I came along this one. It just seems like helping kids is a cause most people don't think about as often as cancer or other diseases. And they need it so much, they need encouragement and dreams to be explored. The people who are in need of the support from these causes keep me going everyday, I realize that I have so much more to give and do, simply because I can.
ReplyDeleteI find all the lovely blogs out there incredibly inspiring - there are so many warm, funny, creative, talented people out there.
ReplyDeleteAnd I've always been a daddy's girl. He inspire me to work hard to make him proud!

ReplyDeleteMy fiances mother inspires me on a daily basis. Her husband died last July after a short and unexpected fight with melanoma cancer. Her strength and poise going forward is something to aspire to in day to day life.
ReplyDeleteI would really love to win that necklace! My grandmother inspires me everytime I talk to her. She's gone through so much, I always learn something new!
ReplyDeleteI love the necklace! I would say that my daughter is my inspiration. She inspires me to be the best person I can be each day, I want to be a good role model for her. In fact, she inspired to me to flex my creative muscles this year and start my own blog (hopefully, maybe it will be "drooled" over on your list someday...) The Naptime Chef - www.thenaptimechef.blogspot.com . Have a great day! {naptimechef@gmail.com}
ReplyDeleteI am inspired everyday by my Grandma. At 87 years old-she still has the spunk and spirit of a 16-year-old. I only hope that I can age as gracefully as she has; what a lady!

My boyfriend inspires me on a daily basis. He's been through so much in his 28 years, including the loss of his mother to brain cancer, and he still manages to be cheerful, loving, positive, and very generous. He works as a hair stylist and has the opportunity to talk to all different kinds of people every day. I get to meet some of them, and I can see that he makes an impact on their lives, just by listening to them and talking to them. I swear hair stylists should have a degree in psychology! Levi definitely inspires me to love others.
