You're all caught up!
The year is off to a great start, actually. I've just been slammed with new projects at work and then prioritizing all my free time with people I love. I'm tired and we're eating scrambled eggs at least four nights a week and I'm not particularly inspired at the moment but I know it will pass when things ease up and right now I'm just enjoying where I am.

You should know I can't take any credit for those gorgeous appetizer plates but I did eat about 20 of the bite sized wedge salads. So clever.
Posting will probably continue to be sporadic until this work cycle is over but I miss being here and I have a few things I want to share soon. I haven't opened up my Google Reader since a few weeks before Christmas and I'm terrified. I know I should just delete and move on but I hate missing out on everything you guys have been doing so I keep telling myself I'll set aside time to at least skim through but then it doesn't happen. Someday soon.
what kind of espresso machine is that? we miss you!
ReplyDeleteWe have this little Delonghi. It was a wedding gift from a friend who apparently knew we'd need espresso before we did. We've been using it daily (twice each day, actually, because I drink decaf and D drinks caffeinated) for the last 6 - 8 months and so far it's been a little workhorse! I'm really happy with it and we're now addicted to making lattes at home.
DeleteI miss you guys!
yes, info on the espresso machine! I am wanting one.
ReplyDeleteI think life tends to cycle like that, you will be back to having more time and come back soon!
Hi, Kelly! We have this Delonghi and it's great. I have a little more detail above but feel free to ask if you have any questions. I did zero research since it was gift, so I can't tell you what comparable machines are like but we love it. I'm not sure we'll ever be a house without espresso again.
Deletethank you! do you use any specific kind of beans/grounds? I have been drinking caffeine again but don't love how it makes me feel. I should try some caffeine free.
DeleteMy standard is the Intelligentsia decaf Black Cat espresso. I grind it at home, espresso fine, enough for a couple days at a time.
DeleteI recently tried out LAMILL decaf espresso and liked it quite well but it seemed a little lighter? I'm not a coffee expert by any means, so I might not be the best person to ask!
I'm going to try Handsome coffee next, I think.
I like having so many options to try out and the nice thing is that we save enough money making it at home that it's easy to justify buying a nicer coffee.
thanks so much! we don't do anything super fancy but you can tell a difference between decent coffee and cheap coffee.
Deleteyay, you're back!
ReplyDeleteI've been missing your posts!

ReplyDeleteWe were a little late to the party, but we're so into Walking Dead now! I think we watched two full seasons in two weeks. Yikes.
DeleteThank you for making a particularly bad day better. What could be better than loading up your page and finding a blog post. I actually squealed. In excitement. Thank you x
