White ranunculus go very well with a glass of red wine and some evening sewing.
Also great with an early morning cup of tea and a well buttered roll.*
They're very versatile that way.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
*Is it odd that I sometimes get out of bed at 6 in the morning just so I can have an hour to linger over my tea before I have to go to work?
sigh* just lovely.
ReplyDeleteNo, not odd at all. I think it just shows you're a woman who knows her priorities. The opportunity to linger is a wonderful way to start your day.
ReplyDeleteI adore ranunculus; funny how they can look so long-limbed and spindly from above, but lush and pillowy from the side.
These are beautiful in white...I just picked up a bundle of colored ranunculus for my engagement party on Saturday!! Can't wait to see them all spread out over the tables..and enjoy them for days to come ; )
ReplyDeleteYou too Rachel, have a golden weekend! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI got out of bed at 6:30 this morning and didn't make it in until 8A -- I'm totally with you on the lingering over morning luxuries! (And I *love* ranunculus!)
ReplyDeleteNice! I am loving ranunculus as well. I even saw some planted in a flower bed outside a restaurant yesterday and now dream of having them around my one-day-home.
ReplyDeletealways lovely. they were the flower of the week at central market so i grabbed a huge bunch of hot pink ones for $5! they've made me smile all week.
ReplyDeletehappy weekend
xo
How very pretty! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Lingering over tea is a joy. Nothing wrong with beginning your day in such a wonderful way!
ReplyDeleteViv
i always spring for the colored ranunculus, but i think you've officially converted me. this are so sweet and simple.
ReplyDeleteNot odd at all. It's actually a luxury! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI have the same mug...but for the san francisco starbucks. a farewell gift from a friend when I moved away from SF in 2005.
I love Ranunculus!
ReplyDeleteI tell my sister her boquet will be filled with these when she gets married!
Love the ranunculus! Beautiful. Wish I could find it available in easy cut-flower form around here. I have to pilfer from the plants I have, which are pretty much done.
ReplyDeleteYou have a good weekend too, Rachel!
not odd at all! i wake up early every morning just so that i can enjoy the early morning light in my apartment and drink tea in my bathrobe. glad you had such happy flowers this week!
ReplyDeletei used to sleep to the very last minute before i had to get up. now i find myself getting up earlier on my own to drink my tea and blog or read yours :)
ReplyDeleteso so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteI adore that you get up an hour before work to enjoy your tea! We're kindred spirits, deary!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend and enjoy your raniculus!
Aren't they such gorgeous flowers? I love spring! And no, it's not weird :-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous flowers. I'm laughing at the glass of wine with your sewing, for some reason I get very drunk very quickly on wine so doing sewing even after one glass is probably not a very good idea!! I am a teensy bit jealous of your getting up early to linger and enjoy your tea, as when I go to work I have to be up at 6am anyway and the idea of getting up at 5am to linger doesn't really appeal!!
ReplyDeleteNot odd at all. These are so pretty in white! Have a nice weekend :)
ReplyDeleteNot odd; i get up at 5.30am so that i can have 2 hours :)
ReplyDeleteI like saying the word ronunculus... ronungkewlahs... ronuncular?
ReplyDeleteLove the ranunculus!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's weird at all. I don't feel like the day started properly if I haven't read blogs with my morning coffee before leaving the house!
happy weekend & what beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteIts never wrong to do that - beautiful shots. I especially love the second one.
ReplyDeleteYour images are DELICIOUS. And few things can top lingering around tea.
ReplyDeleteLove that little vase, all drippy-glazed etc.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Rhyming unintentional (maybe).
ReplyDeletepretty, pretty...I plan on heading to ink and peat and picking up some this weekend...I am dying to take some pretty pictures...xo t
ReplyDeleteYou don't see white ranauculus' very often, so pristine and lovely!
ReplyDeletethey are beautiful! Lovely photographs.
ReplyDeleteI've started to 'linger' in the mornings too. I used to get up 1 hour before I needed to leave the house, but now I get up 2 hours before so that I can have a leisurely cup of tea, watch the news and wake up before I attempt getting ready.
ReplyDeleteHow incredibly lovely! The styling in the first photo is amazing!
ReplyDeletethose are one of my favorite flowers... so sweet and delicate.
ReplyDeleteuh, no! i do the same thing, only with my coffee...love the quiet in the morning to hear the birds, spend time in god's word, think about my day...
ReplyDeleteStunning - what a great perspective too!
ReplyDeleteThese are my favorites...along with peonies as well! Gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeletenot odd at all. i did the same thing this morning. i just find it almost impossible at times.
ReplyDelete*No, I do it too. : )
