Lately

I've been eating more bacon than is justified.

The Christmas tree is down.

We went to another family wedding and Courtney's truffles made a welcome appearance (I snagged leftovers to take home and savored them for an entire week - I say I'm not a chocolate person but I definitely have some exceptions).

We celebrated one year with some sweet baby legs.

And attempted to keep everything else limping along, somehow. To be fair, D did all the laundry. I just took a picture of it. At least laundry looks nice, which is more than I can say for a lot of household chores.

How is this month over already?

    I just took our Christmas tree down yesterday! I was tempted to keep it up until Valentine's day, but felt too embarrassed.

    Make more bacon.

    girlfriend, we have 4 packs of peppered bacon in the fridge right now, and i assume that will last us 1.5 weeks.

    thanks to you and D for coming to the party! i am so blessed to have such wonderful friends who will trek that far for a 1 year old's bday party. and there wasn't even a bounce house, but you stayed :)

      Awwww ... we were so glad we could be there! We love seeing you guys.

      Also, I think I need to try your peppered bacon. We've been pretty addicted to the thick sliced applewood smoked, but pepper sounds good too!

    I can never get over how beautifully lit and peaceful your pictures are. I agree that laundry is a perpetual chore. I feel like it is taunting me every time I do it. Also, now I want some bacon.

    i HATE laundry (folded nicely or otherwise!) and i love bacon. especially my brown sugar baked bacon. oh and hotel bacon. what is better than hotel bacon?

    Mmmm bacon. You should see what passes for bacon here in Berlin! It's a travesty! Dry, strangely cured and the thickness of prosciutto. Why?!
