very busy week at work = tired me
tried to make lazy pad thai using TJs satay sauce, colossal failure
no new episode of parks and rec, again. this makes me much more sad than I like to admit
Wow - gorgeous. Happy Friday!

Mkay, a couple things:
ReplyDeleteI just posted a triptych. Without seeing your diptych. We have total ESPN, as we say in my family.
Your mama can grow some serious roses.
I LOVE that bare-bulb lamp. I'm guessing it was a thrift score and that I'll never find one like it, but I love it. Hope you have a restful weekend, Rache!
seriously gorgeous roses - i love them when they get full blown and mature - like beautiful ladies in the summer sun. lush, powerful.
ReplyDeletesorry about the pad thai
those flowers are gorgeous with the fallen petals & all. also, i bought the TJ red thai curry sauce a little while ago, but have never used it. is it really that bad??? i'm scared to try it now haha.
ReplyDeletelove those. i can almost smell the from here!
ReplyDeletep.s. I have a giveaway I think you might like! www.wild-and-precious.com
that's terrific that you found a walking route to work! i know what you mean, i'm sad there hasn't been a new 30 rock for weeks.
ReplyDeleteThose roses are divine! I love when they begin to drop petals.
ReplyDeletei totally agree about parks and rec. what a bummer!
ReplyDeletehave a great weekend!
so, SO pretty! And I've been bummed about no new grey's for a while, too...more than what I should be! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love Parks & Rec! It's my favorite Thursday night show.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful roses!
ReplyDelete@ bigBANG - not quite a thrift store score. These actually used to the standard lamps in my lab. Now we have modern ones, but we all use the old ones in our homes/offices.
ReplyDelete@ ampersandity - I think it was user error on my part. I thought I had purchased peanut sauce, but it was actually satay sauce, which is meant for dipping. I just poured it all over the noodles anyways, because I was hungry. Did not taste like pad thai at all. In general, TJ's sauces are pretty good, so I'm guessing your red curry sauce will be a hit.
@ Julia - your perception of distance post made me think about it some more! I'll post some more details in the next few weeks.
Those are beautiful flowers! Do you like flowers that don't blend or do blend? I switch between both depending on the season.
ReplyDeleteooh mark bittman just posted a new incredibly easy pad thai recipe that i'm planning on trying. i'll let you know how it goes!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful roses! I'm so happy you found a walking route to work. It's so nice to walk.
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous color!!
ReplyDeleteLove it!

those flowers are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried TJ's pad thai in a box? The sauce in that kit is pretty spot on, you just have to add your protein of choice and viola, pad thai.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!! Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love garden roses. They are so much better than the ones you get from a florist.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Are they for real?
