What a trip to Dubai gets me

Some Arabic CDs, special saffron curry powder, a fancy version of my Lipton tea, and Smarties (I don't care for M&Ms, but I love Smarties and you can't get them here).

Oh, and this adorable little doll family that was originally intended for D's little brother. We quickly decided that we would appreciate it more. Don't worry - he got a giant Kinder egg thing and some other goodies.

    lordy, those are some beautiful photos! i'd have commandeered the nesting dolls as well (though i do hope we get a report on the contents of the kinder egg from dubai, too).

    the gifts are great, but i'm absolutely blown away by D's photography. that camel will look fabulous when framed up on that blue wall!

    He's so lucky to have gotten to visit! And I agree his pictures are wonderful. I am daydreaming of lying under a tent like that in the warm weather.

    Whoo, score on the dolls! (Beautiful against that blue, too!) And the other goodies, of course -- But definitely uber-score on the photography! That camel photo is crazy cool, and very nice shot of the tent, too -- way to go to your D!

    D did your camera proud- the photos are beautiful! Would you mind sharing more about why did he go on this trip, to make tents? I'm not a camp kind of gal, but if I had a tent like the one he slept it I think I could learn to live outside.

    Did you go to Dubai? One of my best friends (really like a brother) lives there...

    As a Canadian I am ALL too familiar with Smarties--we have some sitting in the cupboard now! As an M&M's girl I don't understand the Smarties appeal, but the huz is loyal and true to them!

    Wow! Gorgeous photos and that tent looks beautiful - I'd love to sleep somewhere like that. Your gifts look cute but as for the smarties vs M&M's - it has to be M&M's every time. I think this comes of being brought up on smarties that they seem pretty ordinary!
