A bit of woven fabric.
Oh, and this adorable little doll family that was originally intended for D's little brother. We quickly decided that we would appreciate it more. Don't worry - he got a giant Kinder egg thing and some other goodies.
And some amazing photos. (All credits to D)

Jealous? I know I am.
lordy, those are some beautiful photos! i'd have commandeered the nesting dolls as well (though i do hope we get a report on the contents of the kinder egg from dubai, too).
ReplyDeletethe gifts are great, but i'm absolutely blown away by D's photography. that camel will look fabulous when framed up on that blue wall!
ReplyDeleteHow marvelous! I would love to visit :) D's Photography is smashing!

ReplyDeleteHe's so lucky to have gotten to visit! And I agree his pictures are wonderful. I am daydreaming of lying under a tent like that in the warm weather.
ReplyDeletesuch gorgeous shots!!! I would be jealous too. and great surprises too.
ReplyDeleteWow. Big-time wow.
ReplyDeleteNext time, see if you can climb into one of D's suitcases ... :)
Nice treats! Love the tent ceiling.
ReplyDeleteWhoo, score on the dolls! (Beautiful against that blue, too!) And the other goodies, of course -- But definitely uber-score on the photography! That camel photo is crazy cool, and very nice shot of the tent, too -- way to go to your D!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely jealous. What an awesome trip.

D did your camera proud- the photos are beautiful! Would you mind sharing more about why did he go on this trip, to make tents? I'm not a camp kind of gal, but if I had a tent like the one he slept it I think I could learn to live outside.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
your D is a genius!
ReplyDeletethe camel photo is gorgeous, just amazing!

ReplyDeletebut i really want the smarties...i grew up near canada and we would go there every summer, and i always got smarties! enjoy
I lurve the dolls. I think they need to star in a movie.
ReplyDeleteThe first photo is gorgeous! I love getting little gifts from far-off places... I hope you enjoy all your goodies! :-)
ReplyDeleteWow what exciting souvenirs! Definitely different than your average key chain
ReplyDeletei want to go to dubai ... and would love to come back with photos like that. also i LOVE smarties too. they are yum, yum, yummy!
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, d certainly left the neighborhood! and heck yeah, i'm jealous. thanks for the glimpse. kathi
ReplyDeleteDid you go to Dubai? One of my best friends (really like a brother) lives there...
ReplyDeleteSmarties! Haven't seen any in forever! Let alone eaten any...
Wowee! What incredible photos---of the treats AND of Dubai!
ReplyDeleteAs a Canadian I am ALL too familiar with Smarties--we have some sitting in the cupboard now! As an M&M's girl I don't understand the Smarties appeal, but the huz is loyal and true to them!
Wow. Stunning. Wow.
ReplyDeletegosh, i would love to sleep in that tent. thanks for sharing these great photos.
ReplyDeleteWow! Gorgeous photos and that tent looks beautiful - I'd love to sleep somewhere like that. Your gifts look cute but as for the smarties vs M&M's - it has to be M&M's every time. I think this comes of being brought up on smarties that they seem pretty ordinary!
ReplyDeleteI love those nesting dolls! Utterly adorable.
