I've mostly been working. And working and working, which does not make for fascinating content. I've managed to sneak some good stuff in there as well. Pancakes on a Sunday morning, lots of Circe time, testing out all the coffee places in our area, making up for our complete lack of outdoor space with park time and even cooking every once in a while.

Coming up soon - kale salad, cocktails and kitchen cabinets (aka - a functional kitchen, finally!). Not all in the same post, but you know, spread out a bit. Also have some more budgeting + meal planning posts in the works, but those take a little longer to flesh out so god knows when that will happen. Soon, I think.

  1. I enjoy so much reading your blog! Any easter preparations? Any interesting reads? I would love to know.
I started reading your blog when the (Greek??) lace tablecloth on your 2011 thanksgiving table set attracted my attention. Zoe from Greece

    1. I wish I had reading to recommend! I've been breaking my own rules and doing work on the bus as well, trying frantically to stay caught up on emails. Hopefully once things ease up I'll have some more recommendations.

      Thank you for reading!

  3. Love the rug in your living room - can I ask where you got it?

    1. I'm happy to share but it will be supremely un-useful, sadly!

That's actually a rug belonging to my parents and it was always in our living room while I was growing up. They purchased it while living in Egypt and had it shipped back to the states.

It has held up beautifully over the last 30 years although it has some wear and tear! I'm so grateful to have it, especially because I'd never have been able to track down a rug this nice for anything like a price I could actually afford. If I were going to try, Ebay would probably be my best bet. We've definitely gotten some smaller vintage rugs there and had good luck.

Trying captchas this time - better or worse than having to log in to comment? Let me know! Sorry for all the hoops but the spam has been terrible lately!
