Update

So, I compromised on the sequins. I waited to put the jacket on until *after* the ceremony and then thoroughly enjoyed being an animated disco ball for the rest of the night.

sequins, dancing
{sequins, dancing}

I barely left the dance floor all evening - not sure if that's because the wedding was at a winery or because of the magical powers of the jacket.

P.S. - The jacket is from here and if I had seen the online photos I would never even have considered buying it. But the fit is totally different on me - you'll have to take my word for it because I'm pretty sure that's the only photo we got.

  2. Haha that is awesome. I do think the jacket has magical powers? Don't you love Macy's? I so love Macy's. And that is one positive thing about living in a big city as opposed to a small town. The shopping!

  3. This made me laugh out loud. I can't tell you the number of times I have wanted to link to a cute top or dress from Macy's that I own, only to be horrified by product styling online. I once emailed a friend a top I was wearing to a book signing(link to the Macy's picture) and told her, "This is it, but it's not quite so 'Mom on a cruise ship in real life.'"

  4. @ Jules - EXACTLY! And now you have me laughing. You totally nailed their style. The only reason I didn't link to the jacket last week was because that photo was so embarrassing that I worried it might prejudice people against the jacket in advance. Someone needs to talk to them about their choices.

  8. Love it. And you are KILLIN' it on the dance floor. (In my head, I'm imagining the Jay-Z song, "If you're feelin' like a pimp, n*gga, goin' brush ya shouldas off, ladies is pimps, too, goin' brush ya shouldas off...") xo.
