The weekend, briefly

It was an overly busy weekend, but we managed to make some time for the little things.

Like freshly picked sweet peas. Perfect for burying your face in.

And admiring my mom's glass collection (entirely thrifted).

Doing a bit of thrifting myself.

Trying to get the little terrier to cooperate with the camera (she has avocado blossoms all over her fur).

  5. Oh, for the love of sweet peas. Really, there are few flowers I would rather bury my face in. And an avocado blossomed-Circe is a pretty fabulous concept for a painting, mes non?

Also, hats off to you for you for getting going on your taxes this weekend. Boo-hiss for me for me for NOT doing taxes this weekend. D*S did a helpful tutorial for small-business owners here, if you're in the market for advice (which I certainly am):

  7. I'm pretty convinced dog's don't look at the camera on purpose. Bailey stares at me and the minute the camera comes out, it's like she doesn't know who I am.

  8. Your sweet peas are GORGEOUS! :o) You're absolutely right -- I do want to bury my face in the petals (I thought I caught myself inching closer to the computer monitor -- alas, I pulled back before I embarrassed myself).

  9. the color on those sweetpeas is deafening (it's so good it's synaesthetic!). lovely work thrifting as well! it's entirely fitting that an enamel bracelet in that gorgeous shade of turquoise made its way to your jewelry pile - i've associated that color with you since you showed us your salt and pepper shakers.

Trying captchas this time - better or worse than having to log in to comment? Let me know! Sorry for all the hoops but the spam has been terrible lately!
