Shopping, lately

My stripey dress from the weekend is from Old Navy* - you can find it here. It's a decent weight cotton and pairs well with tights. I add a belt to keep it from looking quite so sack-like.

I'm also living in these super soft roll sleeve jersey tees. Nothing special, looks wise, but so comfortable for lounging around and they're nice and long for those of us with oddly long torsos and an aversion to showing our stomachs.

I ordered everything online, because I simply couldn't face the prospect of a trip to the store.

*I swear I am not paid by them in any way. I just seem to have an intense like/hate relationship that comes out a bit too frequently on here.

  1. i'm always on the look out for long-sleeved shirts that aren't tummy-t's. i was over those in 7th grade.

  2. I love the grey long-sleeved one especially. The striped one is lovely too, but horizontal stripes scare me!

  3. LOL I love your little comments at the end. love both pieces but my favorite thing at Old Navy are the knit knee high slippers - so warm and cozy

  4. I have an oddly long torso too. And despite the fact that my relationship with Old Navy falls more on the "hate" side, your shopping adventures are slowing convincing me to revisit my aversion...

  5. Hahah SURE you aren't paid by Old Navy! Just kidding! I have a fall jacket from them that is a major wardrobe staple in my life...

  6. I don't have an oddly long torso since I am only 5 feet tall...so it could essential work as a dress for me :-) I've never bought anything at Old Navy that wasn't comfy. Now I may have to go look for some of these.

  8. i hear ya on the love/hate thing with old navy...i can't bear to go into the stores either, as it inevitably makes me insanely disgruntled, but i continue to buy their t-shirts and knit dresses nonetheless ;-)

  11. So now I want both of these. I wonder how long I would get to wear them before my growing preggo belly gets in the way. I might just chance it. Comfort + cuteness = a win/win

  14. I love Old Navy, too. Can't help it. Cheapest place to shop where I can park my car. (If I could park my car at H&M, H&M might win)

  16. I too have a retardedly long torso, and Old Navy rarely has t-shirts that actually cover it, so this is a refreshing change.

  18. I think I *have* that dress; it was my summertime staple, as a lazy day-dress and bikini cover-up. You've inspired me to rummage through my tights drawer and see if the dress can transition into fall... thanks for the tip!

  19. I'd pretty much written Old Navy off. BUT, I went in today after your recent "like" post :) + i suwannee's post on diva skinny jeans. The tees? Right on, super soft, right length not that trendy, strange, nearly-a-dress-length. So thank you. The jeans though? They fit weird. I forgot that ON's fit is 'off' & I only brought 1 pr into the dressing room. after digging thru clearance to find some ofthese tees, I was done w/ that place. Maybe I'll just shop online. :) I remember why I stopped going in there!
